What you’re seeing can happen on newer Pixel devices due to how Android manages apps in the background. Even when an app isn’t actively in use (and even after a force stop), the system may occasionally allow the app to restart or run briefly in the background as part of normal system management. This can sometimes make it appear as if the app is running more than expected. Pixel’s Adaptive Battery feature will continue to learn your usage patterns and further limit background activity over time. That said, if you’d like to minimize this further, you can try:
Restarting your device (this clears any lingering background processes)
Going to Settings > Apps > Pandora > Battery and setting it to Restricted (this may impact background playback or streaming performance)
If you continue to see higher battery usage over the next few days (for example, consistently at the top of your battery list with much higher percentages), please reply to this thread and we can take a closer look.
