My catalog dropped massively on October 1st, and each day it is getting less and less. I have a new album release that is a month old, and the image shows the build of one of the songs tanking considerably, which is also a song that has been on campaign for about a week. It was climbing, hitting 7K in a day and then dropping to 225? This should not be happening. I'm seeing this across nearly 90% of my catalog. I have seen other people mentioning the same thing, too. In the graph you can see the beautiful upward build, then it drops off suddenly. Someone, please look into this. This is not just me it is happening to, many artists are experiencing the same thing.
moderator’s edit: updated title for clarity
Hi @MariaDavis, I've gone ahead and passed along your post to our Care Team. They will reach out to you via the email associated with your Pandora account. Please be on the look out for their reply.
Thanks for your patience in the meantime.
Hi @musicwizard, I do see you have an open case with our support team regarding this issue.
Please keep an eye out for their email reply and they will be happy to look into this further with you.
I noticed that the songs that have dropped in streams have significantly lower algorithmic and editorial placement. Some have lost it all together and it is only organic. For example, the title track of my latest album had algorithmic and editorial placement and now all it shows is organic from yesterday. Look at the amount of streams it had accumulated and was still growing in daily streams. After October 1st, it tanked and and then went down to 2 that were only organic? This is the title track, and it was climbing well, too. Also even my song on an actual campaign has tanked. Can someone please do something about this? I have not heard from anyone yet.
Even campaigns are affected. I looked at songs that tanked (tons of them), and they are all losing/lost editorial and algorithmic placement. My latest album that released on 8/28 was doing very well and I started this campaign on 9/17. It was growing beautifully, and now look. Nearly 7K a day down to 198?? The lower two snapshots show the title track to my last album. What it was doing in 28 days, vs only being reduced to organic. Nobody has reached out to us with support tickets either. Also, guys, this was my last campaign of the year to promote my new album. This really hurts!
any update? support would be greatly appreciated, thank you.
first off i just want to say pandora music has been a blessing helping get discovered this year .... soooo as of recently my catalogs stats have dropped massively across the board starting oct 1st, i noticed none of my music spins up in my actual artist and individual song stations on my profile either but my artist and song stations rotate other artist in my official stations.... so if listeners who visit my page chose to listen to my artist or songs station but none of my music gets streamed and they get other artist rotating instead cutting me out the loop, when its my station that encouraged them to listen.. thats engagements that i miss from listeners picking my stations that doesnt include me in them Lol , anyways i see others facing the same issue right now but still no update on the matter, support on the topic would be appreciated, thanks again
Hey Maria, it's now October 9th and I just checked my stats. They are still a fraction of what they were before October 1st. (I have a very similar-looking graph FYI). Have you gotten any answers as to what might have happened, as of yet, at least on your end?
I got a copy/paste reply saying:
"Our editorial team regularly makes changes, and our recommendation algorithms continually evolve.
Delivery of content to Pandora does not guarantee inclusion on Pandora stations, and inclusion or exclusion in programming can vary over time.
Thank you for understanding."
This is ridiculous. I have built my growth on the platform for years and never had my music disappear from rotation. Even my own artist station barely plays any of my music. It should play one of my songs every 4-5 turns, and all I get is one song when I go to it, and the rest are other artists music. Something is wrong here and for the first time ever, I feel like Pandora is shutting the door in my face. I have always loved Pandora, boasted about the platform and gave high praise to everyone. Now though? They just cut my paycheck down 90% of what it used to be.
I have had the same thing happen @Pandora to me.
I hear you, Maria. Same copy and paste message here as well.
