Android: Can't rewind or fast forward in same song

Yes how come I can only fast forward to different parts of certain songs that I've downloaded, and some songs I can't?

Also, I can't rewind to an earlier portion of any songs, only lets me rewind to the beginning of each particular song.

Is this why people talk bad about Pandora? Should I change my subscription to something else?

Could you provide a few more details about your experience? 

• Does this occur when you're in Offline Mode?
• Is this a collected song, album, or playlist? 
• Could you share an example or two of a song you've noticed this happen with?
  • Please include track title / artist name. 
• Have you encountered any error messages? If so, what exactly does it say?
