cast icon on app is missing on Android app of Pandora
Lastest version 2510.1 Pandora Plus subsciber
Use this every day to cast to home speaker groups. Now the icon to cast is missing.
Pandora will play, but no way to cast to speakers. Have cleared storage and cache, uninstalled/reinstalled no change.
Restarted home network, no help. Rebooted both Pixel tablet and noticed cast icon also missing from app on my phone.
Am able to still cast from chrome web browser. What have I possibly missed as to why cast is missing from App?
Spotify seems to have the ability to cast, although I just installed today and haven't tried. Eeros mesh network was just updated, but am able to cast from chrome, not Pandora app
I'm adding that I used the Pandora Chat agent "Maggie" to report the issue on 11/23 and a case has been opened. I don't see any way to check on updates, just that Pandora will "reach out" if further information is required.
Case #: 05629127

Pandora Update 11/25/25:
Hi everyone,
Thanks so much for taking the time to share your experience with the missing Cast icon after updating to version 2510.1. We know how frustrating this can be, and we’ve passed your reports along to our engineering team for further review. We really appreciate your patience while we look into this.
In the meantime, we’ve heard from a few listeners that rebooting their phone has helped bring the Cast icon back, so it may be worth a try if you haven’t already.
If the Cast icon still doesn’t reappear after a reboot, you can try uninstalling and reinstalling the app. We've made a change to allow users to install the previous app version, 2509.1, while we investigate further. For steps on how to reinstall Pandora on your Android device, follow this link to the Google Play store.
Please note:
If you have a paid subscription, clearing data, signing out or uninstalling the app will remove any offline content. Pandora Plus users should see their offline content automatically re-download, while Premium listeners may need to download some of their content again.
Thank you again for your patience and understanding during this time. We wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving!
I have the same problem on my Galaxy Tablet A9+. The casting icon disappeared from the Pandora app yesterday (Nov 21). Restarted tablet and reinstalled Pandora app. No luck.
Same. No ability to cast at all. Kinda tired of every "update" causing issues.
Same on s23 ultra so it looks to not be device specific at all. Admin, where we at?

Same. Absolute garbage!
Same issue here. Tried everything with no luck. Only workaround is to mirror device using google home but that doesn't work as well.
Following this thread in hopes of a solution. I can cast from the Google home but that's not super functional, it cuts off once I get a call or need to do other audio functions.
Posting to follow because the same is happening to me on 2510.1
same here - android pixel 9 - cast button missing for a week or so. Please update!
Same issue here. Following...
Come on admin...
Thanks for the timeline. I thought it was me or my devices.
I have had intermittent issues with the cast button for Google Home disappearing for some time. As of 11/22/25 it has not returned at all. I have an Android S22 that I normally cast from, but it's also not available on any of my other devices.

Same issue here. Following the thread hoping for a solution 😕
Having the same trouble as the rest of you. Pixel 9 Pro and Galaxy A9+
Tried everything too. It came back yesterday and today it's gone again. I'm getting a little frustrated paying for the premium edition and it not working correctly.

Cast still missing after reboot. Did a force stop/uninstall and then visited the play store to see if the 2510 version would work rather than try the link mentioned in the post from Tanner, admit I didn't look at the link, assumed it would be a different link to the app, however, 2509 got installed anyway by default and CAST is now back, much appreciated.
Same issue. No option to "uninstall update." Not sure how people are getting prior versions installed, as the link from the moderator, Tanner, is just link to the play store Pandora app (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pandora.android&pli=1). There are places to download APKs, but they are not always safe.
Pandora moderators, please provide a link to a clean APK for the 2509 version.
Putting the previous version on the Google play store has solved the problem. I uninstalled the app, installed Pandora from the Google play store and magically the cast icon is back and working!
Ditto, mine too!
Glad Pandora is listening to us!
I am seeing this problem as well as of last week. I have speaker groups set up with Google Nest speakers so I would really like to be able to cast natively in the Pandora app.
The solution posted by Tanner is working for others including me. Have you followed the steps?
