Android: Firefly Bluetooth Issues

TQWG
Local Performer

Things were going along smoothly for months. Then one day the Pandora app closes as soon as it is opened near the Auxiliary input in my car, where I've been using the firefly for Bluetooth. YET, somehow I can start directions in Google Maps and access my pandora library. But I must be driving. Once I start directions I can stop directions and Pandora continues. Sometimes though it takes 4 or 5 tries. Anybody have this experience?

Hi there, @TQWG. 👋

Let's try re-pairing the connection between your car and the phone.

To remove the pairing, please go into the Bluetooth settings menu on your phone, find the appropriate connection, and select "Forget this device."

Once you've done so, refer to your car's manual for the steps to reconnect the car system to your phone. Using the Voice Commands for your unit (if available) is often the easiest way to do this.

++

If the issue persists, could you provide the following information so I can investigate?

  1. What is the make, model and year of your vehicle?
  2. If you have an aftermarket stereo, what is the make and model of that device?
  3. What is the make and model of your phone? Also, can you tell me the Pandora app version (let me know if you need help finding that)?
  4. Is your vehicle equipped with Android Auto or Apple CarPlay?
  5. Have you experienced this issue only when in the car, or also when listening on your phone outside the car?

Let me know. 🎧
