Android: "Cannot Retrieve Music" Error

TImani
Local Performer

I tried listening to the stations I've had for so long and none of them are working the only thing I can listen to are podcasts. It works fine for my laptop but I can't carry my laptop around listening to music. Why is my app not working? I did everything the trouble shoot suggested... I'm very unhappy and I just paid for a plus membership.

Pandora hasn't been playing at all except on my tv.. and even then. It's just a station. It doesn't sync my entire playlist. All are under 1 gmail account... so but on my phones, it plays 1 song and 1 song only... I have over 2k songs... but it says I can't retrieve music fro. Pandora.com

@ChelleBabyGirl I moved your post to the Android space in order to keep the community organized.

Running through the troubleshooting steps listed on this page should get rid of the error message you are seeing when attempting to stream Pandora from your phone.

Let me know if you continue to experience issues with this.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++

To explain why you are not able to stream your playlists on your TV:

Because individual manufacturers are responsible for the implementation of the Pandora application, some devices may lack Pandora Premium's features.

You can view the devices Pandora Premium is available on here.

I tried to go to Pandora app on my Android phone, and it still keeps buffering and skipping. And it says “Sorry, I’m unable to retrieve music from Pandora.com”. Can you fix it, please?

Every time I open the app to listen to music, it says it can't retrieve my music from Pandora.com. Can someone tell me if they're having the same problem or how to fix this problem?

Hey, @ShaneSmith. 👋

I moved your post over to this existing thread: Error Message: "Cannot retrieve music"

I’ve enabled a trace on your Pandora account, in case we need to escalate this to our engineering team. For this trace to be useful, we’ll need you to run through our troubleshooting steps below.

From your Android Settings, please try clearing the Pandora app data using the following steps (not to worry, we'll keep track of your profile and collection for you):*

  1. Open your device Settings
  2. Tap Apps
  3. Scroll down to find Pandora
  4. Select Storage
  5. On the storage details page tap Clear Data.

Keep in mind that the steps for each Android device is slightly different. If you have a Pixel, you can check out Google's help page for steps on how to clear space on your device.

*Pandora Premium and Premium Family listeners may need to re-download some of their offline content after this. Pandora Plus users, however, should receive that offline content again automatically. If you have any trouble with your offline stations after this, please let us know.

Please note that you will be asked to log into your account after completing these steps. Let me know if this helps with the error message you're seeing. 🎧
