Hi, @spinelli73. 👋

I'm very sorry for the continued trouble.

Let's try running through these steps to see if you're able to get back to listening.

From your Android Settings, please try clearing the Pandora app data using the following steps (not to worry, we'll keep track of your profile and collection for you):*
  1. Open your device Settings
  2. Tap Apps
  3. Scroll down to find Pandora
  4. Select Storage
  5. On the storage details page tap Clear Data.

Keep in mind that the steps for each Android device is slightly different.

If you have a Pixel, you can find helpful steps here.

Please note that you will be asked to log into your account after completing these steps. Let me know if this helps!

Hey there, @xfurby_4u2. 👋

Sorry to hear that you're having trouble with Pandora. I completely understand how frustrating this could be.

I’ve enabled a trace on your Pandora account to help us better understand what’s happening. For this trace to be useful, we’ll need you to run through our troubleshooting steps once more.

I would recommend trying out these steps from my message here.

Let me know how it goes. 📲

@logan123 I'd be happy to help with any questions you have, but I will need additional information to do so.

Can you explain your issue a bit further? To clarify, do you need help installing the Pandora app onto an Android device?

The more details you're able to provide, the better equipped I'll be to help.

I look forward to hearing back.

I went to go listen to music and it said something about Pandora premium which I never had so I got Pandora plus and it still won't let me listen

Hey, @Shelby124. 👋

Looks like you're currently upgraded to a free 30-day trial of Pandora Premium through Google Play.

Could you share a bit more about your experience?

  • Have you received any error messages? If so, what exactly does it say?
  • What happens when you attempt to listen?

Also, I would recommend running through these steps to see if it helps with being able to listen from your Android device. I've enabled a trace on your Pandora account to better understand what's happening. You can find the steps here: Android Troubleshooting

Put a trace on my account too because this started happening last night. I get half a second of any song and then it stops, even when the phone screen is open even in offline mode. I have already cleared data with no success.

Hi there, @Problems63365. 👋

Sounds like you were able to run through the troubleshooting steps but you're still having trouble.

Another thing to check, when updating the OS on Android devices, the battery optimization on all apps may be automatically turned back on by default. This can cause performance issues or interfere with playback when the app is backgrounded. Due to the sheer volume of Android devices, we are unable to provide step by step instructions for each and every device. I recommend looking up the steps to manage battery optimization for the specific make and model of your device and disable this for the Pandora app.

If you own a Samsung device, you may also want to check your Sleeping Apps settings.

++

If this doesn't help, could you share more details about your device?

  • Model:
  • Carrier:
  • Android version (Settings > About Phone):
  • Pandora version (Go to Profile, then select Settings. Scroll to the bottom of the screen for the version number):
  • Are you connected to Wi-Fi or cellular data when this is happening?
  • Do any error messages pop up? If so, what exactly does it say?

Let me know. 🎧

Hi, @9157840. 👋

Sorry to hear that you're having trouble. I do see that you created an account recently but I'm not seeing any devices associated with your account at this time.

Are you listening to Pandora on a computer or on a device?

  1. If you are on a computer, are you listening from:
    • A Mac or Windows computer?
    • Our website, or the desktop app? If you're listening from our website, what browser are you using?
  2. If you are on a device, what is the make and model (and carrier, if applicable)?
  3. Is there an error message? If so, what does it say?

Let me know and I can follow up with you. 🎧
