Pandora Update (11/22/2024):
We appreciate everyone's patience, and understand that these issues around Apple CarPlay have been frustrating and disruptive to your listening experience in the vehicle. Our engineering teams have been working diligently to resolve this for all impacted listeners.
We're happy to announce that Pandora version 2411.1 for iOS should resolve the following issues with CarPlay:
- Listeners who experience trouble with stations loading in the Recent tab.
- Listeners who experience an error message "There was a problem loading this content".
- Listeners who experience loading issues with songs within a playlist.
- Listeners who experience the screen not automatically transitioning to the Now Playing screen.
We recommend manually updating to the latest version (2411.1) of Pandora by visiting the Apple App Store on your iOS device and using the below steps to update.
How to manually update apps on your iPhone:
- Open the App Store.
- Tap the My Account button or your photo at the top of the screen.
- Scroll down to see pending updates and release notes. Tap Update next to an app to update only that app, or tap Update All.
In some cases you may need to refresh the page in order to see the update. After updating to Pandora version 2411.1, please try Pandora with CarPlay again and let us know if you're still having trouble.
Please use your mobile device in your vehicle only when conditions allow and as permitted by applicable law.

Am still having the same problem as others in this thread, i. e., content wonโt load error message. iOS 18.1 and confirmed I have the latest version of Pandora. Using wireless CarPlay in a 2022 F150. I can get some of my stations to load but when I select a station in the list, a different station will load. Also, when it plays the sound is terrible. Have confirmed the sound issue is a Pandora problem.

The only difference is that I don't plug in, I use the wireless connection. Identical issue otherwise.

I rent about two cars a month, since iOS 18, every car I drive has this issue. Including my personal vehicles. I see my stations, but can control only volume thru the car. Every thing else must be with the phone. The list of vehicles includes Genesis, Hyundai, Toyota and Nissan. In a variety of vehicles and trims.

I can guarantee if I was a paid subscriber I would be expecting refunds for those two months and a credit going forwardโฆ But I am not so I will just continue to not so patiently wait. And continue to use other apps such as Amazon Music that seem to have mastered these scenarios well in advance.

I am happy to report, that it loaded immediately this morning, still had to press the arrow on the right hand side of the screen to get my content info but I am hopefully optimistic that we are getting there.

Iโm not aware of any updates just hopeful they are working on it behind the scenes or Iโm just getting lucky today.

Mine loaded one time and then the next day it did not load. Still using my workaround in my Toyota. Pressing audio button on Toyota stereo, then choosing Apple CarPlay. This displays the current song.
