How to listen to Pandora on my phone so I can listen in the truck?

I used to be able to listen with my phone but Pandora keeps requesting I sign in again-and again-and again, and that is irritating and I don't have time to waste at 78 years of age.  I really don't like poking that phone, so I lose Pandora and it is usually months before I reconnect. So I have to keep my subscription to another provider of music, but I prefer Pandora.

Hey @OldRuffDog

Welcome to community!

To be clear, the Pandora app on your phone is asking you to log in each time you open the app?

Can you let me know the:

  • Make and model of your phone:
  • OS version:
  • Pandora version:

Also, what kind of truck do you have?

To be honest it's not every time, but periodically when I try to link my
phone via bluetooth I am locked out of Pandora. I have an Iphone---I'm
listening to Pandora right now, and I love what I hear--- I'll go get my
phone.
So I'm signed in on my computer but not on my phone.IMy iOS is18.3.2 My
phone is 13 mini. My truck is a 2022 Tacoma.
Also you should know I am iphone retarded. I only use it to make calls
usually. I have to get my kids or my wife to help me do anything more than
basic stuff.

Hi @OldRuffDog

Happy Friday, and thanks for the details!

I'll be completely honest as well, I'm not exactly sure what may be happening. Let's see if we can resolve this together.

To get a better sense I have a few follow up questions:

  • Do you use Pandora on your phone often, or only when in your Tacoma?
  • When you connect to your Tacoma, it seems like it's only with Bluetooth?
  • Lastly, when you run into trouble, are you given any error message, or is it simply just the log in screen.

I'd like to ask a favor and have you uninstall and reinstall the Pandora app on your phone for me. This will require you to sign in again. If this is something you'd like to avoid, I completely understand- just ruling out a few things.

Thanks!

I most often use the bluetooth for the Tacoma, but often when I'm working I
use bluetooth when I'm working in the garage, or working on the elliptical.
Really I enjoy listening whenever I think of it. I have CDs I use outside
too, but Pandora is better just for the music I enjoy. Sorry for all the
TMI. I'm deciding for myself about my habits.
Yes, I would like to avoid diving into restarting and having to hunt for my
old music right now. I just received a new computer and that's going to be
my hell for a while.
Thanks for the engaged customer service. Dell computers is not like this.

Happy to help as best as I can, @OldRuffDog.

You'll get the hang of your new computer! They say practice makes perfect, just have to get through the frustration at times. I've been going through something similar, learning curves can always be tough.

I was asking some extra questions to get a better sense of how often you use Pandora. Sometimes, if it's been awhile, you may be logged out but this shouldn't happen too often.

Most of the time troubleshooting with iPhone is pretty basic, usually uninstalling and reinstalling the Pandora app, and turning your phone off completely, and then back on again.

In your first message you said you "lose Pandora and it is usually months before I reconnect". Is that because you aren't able to log back in, not sure how to log back in or something entirely different?

I know it seems like a lot of questions, but still trying to get a better sense of what your experience is like.

Thanks!
