Lyrics matter more than production. Which do you prioritize?

Lyrics first always. I have to connect with it to fall in live with it.

For me, it's a combination of both. While I prefer production, the lyrics can change my opinion about the song. There are songs I like the sound or rhythm, but I disliked them because of the lyrics, and vice versa.

If you have a song that you like  civ or sleepy hollow  or something like that

@RANDOM1_Unicorn Great question. For me, lyrics win every time. I grew up loving singer‑songwriters, the kind of artists who put their whole life into the words. Production can polish a song, but it can’t replace a story that feels true. Jewel is a great example — her writing carries the weight of real experience, and that’s what I connect with most.

Take care, and GOD bless.

You could have the not so great singer but, if their words reach the audience because they have meaning, heart &, soul that's all you need!
