Who here wants to rock? Here’s some metal bands to get your blood pumping!
1. Metallica! The greatest metal band of all time.
2. Black Sabbath! R.i.p the prince of darkness.
3. Rolling Stones. If they had their way everything would be black.
Feel free to comment any of your favorite metal bands!
I would definitely not call Rollings Stones metal.
There are so many different genres/sub-genres out there it would take all day to list them all.
Here's a list of bands that, if you're tired of the same old stuff, you should definitely check out.
SLAYER- Metallica has never toured with them because they're scared of SLAYER fans
Black Sabbath- Of course, the godfathers of METAL in all of it's forms, was so much more than OZZY. Butler, Ward, and Iommi are the basis for all those sludge, doom, and stoner bands that know not but to OBEY THE RIFF LORD
Electric Wizard- Quite possibly the heaviest band around. Named after two Sabbath songs, they ooze a satanic misanthropy through a cloud of pot smoke and hate.
Crisix- Absolute pizza thrash. you can't not have fun jamming these guys
Obituary- proof that death metal doesn't have to be blistering fast with cookie monster vox. Pure Florida Death Metal at it's finest.
This is just a small list but the rabbit holes are plenty. Enjoy. See ya on the other side.
Iron Maiden! The music and their image is pure metal to me 🤘
@Bing-boogerton Led Zeppelin is my favorite.
Led Zeppelin is often cited as one of the foundational influences of heavy metal, but whether they are a heavy metal band is a more nuanced question. Tracks like "Whole Lotta Love", "Immigrant Song", and "Dazed and Confused" had a heavier, more aggressive sound than most rock of their time, helping shape what would become heavy metal. Their powerful riffs, thunderous drumming, and Robert Plant’s soaring vocals laid the groundwork for bands like Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, and later, Metallica.
Led Zeppelin blended blues, folk, funk, and even prog rock into their albums. They didn’t want to be confined to one genre, especially one that overlooked their softer, more experimental side. Members of the band were reportedly “really, really embarrassed” by the heavy metal label, feeling it oversimplified their artistic vision. James Hetfield of Metallica, for example, cites Zeppelin as an influence but classifies them as hard rock.
Take care and GOD bless.
