I would definitely not call Rollings Stones metal.  There are so many different genres/sub-genres out there it would take all day to list them all.  Here's a list of bands that, if you're tired of the same old stuff, you should definitely check out. SLAYER- Metallica has never toured with them because they're scared of SLAYER fans Black Sabbath- Of course, the godfathers of METAL in all of it's forms, was so much more than OZZY. Butler, Ward, and Iommi are the basis for all those sludge, doom, and stoner bands that know not but to OBEY THE RIFF LORD Electric Wizard- Quite possibly the heaviest band around. Named after two Sabbath songs, they ooze a satanic misanthropy through a cloud of pot smoke and hate. Crisix- Absolute pizza thrash. you can't not have fun jamming these guys Obituary- proof that death metal doesn't have to be blistering fast with cookie monster vox.
