There's nothing like listening to a song with a powerful drum beat!

Here are just a few drumming songs out of the many that I love:

Tom Sawyer by Rush

One by Metallica

Painkiller by Judas Priest

Fool In The Rain by Led Zeppelin

Scream Aim Fire by Bullet For My Valentine

Everlong by Foo Fighters

Cowboys From Hell by Pantera

Breed by Nirvana

Highway Star by Deep Purple

Tighten Up by The Black Keys

Let There Be Drums by Sandy Nelson and We Will Rock You by Queen. For We Will Rock You, the drums are more notorious in the live versions.

@HunterPandora I love this post...Here are my favorites...But I must say you have a great list...

1.) Stairway to Heaven (Remaster)Led Zeppelin. My favorite (it begins about 4:16, be patient, and you will be in for a treat)

2.) Tom Sawyer by Rush (This was close to being my #1, but only half the length of Stairway to Heaven)

3.) Black Dog (Remaster) by Led Zeppelin.

4.) Good Times Bad Times (Remaster) by Led Zeppelin

5.) When the Levee Breaks (Remaster) by Led Zeppelin.

6.)  Come Sail Away by Styx. (Be patient 2:30)

7.) Lady by Styx.

8.) Roll with the Changes by REO Speedwagon.

9.) I Need You by Lynyrd Skynyrd.

10.) White Room by Cream.

Enjoy the music.

Take care and GOD bless.

@AlyssaPandora Phil Collins was an excellent drummer. He does a great job with this song. I rate this in my top 20 drum songs. Great choice.

Take care, dear friend, and GOD bless.

Hey @HunterPandora!

That's an excellent question. Here are some of my favorite songs:

Awake and Alive by Skillet. (I really like this song because the drummer, Jen Ledger, not only plays the drums, she also sings, and I think she does it very well! I also recommend some other songs by this band, like  โ€œThe Resistanceโ€ and โ€œMonster.โ€)

Nothing In My Way by Keane.

Circle VII: Sins Of The Lion by Alesana.

Scream Aim Fire by Bullet for My Valentine.

@HunterPandora I also forgot to make mention of these two songs...

YYZ by Rush. It is pretty much a drum solo.

Ticks & Leeches by TOOL.

Take care and GOD bless.

Hi @MOHLovesAlaska Thank you for your suggestions.

I confirm that every Rush song has excellent drumming; Neil Peart is one of my favorite drummers.

I'll listen to the song you recommended by Tool, the instrument I remember most from that band is the bass.

Have a nice day!

@HunterPandora Neal Pert was, in my opinion, one of the top 2 drummers of all time. My favorite is Bonham from Led Zeppelin.

My take on Neal Pert (Personal opinion).

  • Precision and complexity: Peart was a master of technical drumming, known for his intricate time signatures and elaborate fills.

  • Lyricist and intellectual: He wasnโ€™t just the drummerโ€”he wrote most of Rushโ€™s lyrics, infusing their music with philosophical and literary depth.

  • Live performances: His solos were legendary, often blending jazz, rock, and even electronic elements.

John Bonham (Led Zeppelin) (Personal opinion)

  • Raw power and groove: Bonhamโ€™s drumming was thunderous yet deeply musical. His feel was unmatchedโ€”just listen to โ€œWhen the Levee Breaksโ€ or โ€œGood Times Bad Times.โ€

  • Influence: He laid the foundation for hard rock and metal drumming. Countless drummers cite him as their primary influence.

  • Innovation: Bonhamโ€™s use of triplets, ghost notes, and dynamic control made him a pioneer.

If Peart was the architect, Bonham was the force of nature. Peart built cathedrals of rhythm; Bonham tore the roof off with soul and swagger. Choosing between them is like choosing between a Ferrari and a Mustangโ€”both are iconic, just tuned differently.

Take care and GOD bless.

@JoshPandora, my eldest brother David went to see them a while back, and he said they were one of the best performing groups he had seen live, and he has been to about a dozen or so Heavy Metal concerts.

Take care and GOD bless.
