The Ideas Board is Retiring

Over the years, many of you have taken the time to share thoughtful ideas, vote on suggestions, and help shape conversations within the Pandora Community. We're grateful for everyone who has participated.

As part of an upcoming Community update, the Ideas Board will be retired on August 4, 2026.

If you have questions or would like to share comments about this change, we've created this dedicated thread where you can join the discussion. We'll be monitoring the conversation throughout the transition and responding to questions along the way.

Q: What is changing?
A: On August 4, 2026, the Pandora Community Ideas Board will be retired. This change only affects the Ideas Board.

Q: Why is it changing?
A: We are transitioning to a more direct internal feedback pipeline.

Q: What will happen to the ideas that have already been posted?
A: Existing ideas will be retained by Pandora for reference. Once the Ideas Board is retired, new ideas can no longer be submitted, and voting will no longer be available.

Q: I have feedback I'd like to share about Pandora. Where should I go?
A: We'll continue to welcome your feedback. If you have an idea or suggestion, please post it in the Community board that best matches your topic. Our team will be actively monitoring these boards to pass themes along to our product teams.

For example: If your feedback is about the Pandora app specific to your experience on iPhone, you can post it in our iOS board. Posting in the most relevant board helps ensure your feedback reaches the appropriate teams.

What does that really mean? How will we really provide feedback in the future?

"internal feedback pipeline" = "list of basic functionality we don't intend to implement or fix"

It means that they realized having decades old requests for trivial basic features that they choose to ignore easily found and visible in a public forum makes them look bad. So instead of just ignoring requests, they're going to remove the place for people to make requests.

I've been waiting 7 years just to get some way to combine similar stations but it's obvious at this point that Pandora has absolutely zero desire to improve their product and just wants to sit on their hands and collect my monthly subscription fee. I've been a subscriber for many years and I'm done. I'm canceling. Goodby Pandora!

Yall, dont hate on the devs. They have tons of requests, a lot of which take a while to make. Plus, the dev team may not be terribly large. At least get more info from the Pandora team before jumping to conclusions.

Fair. Also, why not just stay on the free version? Its not a terrible service, and you wouldn't lose money.

Exactly you shouldn't just jump to conclusions and leave! You can just use the free version like me! Sure it ain't as fancy as the paid upgrades but it's pretty dependable and usable!

I've been waiting years for them to fix the issue where playback pauses for a moment between tracks. It's super annoying when tracks are meant to transition seamlessly from one to another. When I submitted this as an "idea", it got lumped together with the idea to add crossfade functionality, which is a feature I couldn't care less about. Gapless playback shouldn't be a 'feature' in 2026. Every other streaming platform handles this correctly, and Pandora just refuses to fix it when they've been informed of it repeatedly. Retiring the Ideas forum is just their way of hiding their incompetence.
