Desktop: Auto-Start not working

Hi,

I recently had to reload pandora  and now each time the program starts I have move the cursor to the play triangle to start the program to play songs.

No smart TV. I'm using Pandora on my desktop PC. Pandora used to start playing as soon as the program was started, now I have to mouse over and click the start playing icon.

Hi,

I found the problem when you mentioned to try another website.

I started using Firefox V115 ESR last week and there is a setting in the
Security setup to not allow audio & video on sites.  The browser was
allowing audio-video on other sites but for some reason it did block
Pandora until I clicked the Pandora play icon.

I clicked on the "Allow audio & video" on all sites is the Firefox
security setup and -bingo- Pandora now starts playing right away when it
opens.

Hi @olrowdy01 Thanks for posting to community.

Since you mention that this is happening on your computer, I moved your post over to our Desktop board.

Can you tell me a little more about your computer and experience?

  • Are you on a Mac or Windows computer?
  • Are you using a website, or the desktop app?
  • If you're listening from our website, what browser are you using?

Thanks for the help.

Hi,

I've been playing with computers since the memory was 4 Kb.  When the first hard drive came out we couldn't figure out what we were going to even put on it that would use 10 Mb of storage.  🙂

I'm using a Windows computer with Windows 7, 64 bit OS.  No wi-fi, cell phone etc.  I listen to Pandora using Firefox 115 ESR and with external (small) speakers.

Thanks for the follow up, @olrowdy01!

Does this happen on another browser, like Chrome? Trying to narrow down if it's a browser issue or perhaps something else.
