Playlists pause on desktop

When I am listening to a playlists or album on my Mac and the computer turns the display off to save battery or due to inactivity, the playlists pauses. This does not happen when listening to a station. I have tried the different setting and tricks mentioned in other post on this support board and nothing seems to work. Because this occurs for playlists/albums and not stations I feel that this is a Pandora setting and not my computer setting. 

This occurs on my Mac Desktop, Mac Chrome, and Windows Chrome.

Do you receive any error messages when this happens? 

Or, when you "wake" your computer up? If so, what exactly does it say?
