Web: No sound after pausing playback

The Pandora Web site has a serious problem that seems to have gotten worse. 

I frequently lose the audio after pausing the playback. Sometimes, all I have to do is reload the page. At others, I have to close the page and reopen it. At the moment, neither of those actions works.

This isn't something I can fix on my end. It's a glitch in the Web site. I don't mind the workarounds mentioned above, but this is intolerable.

Sorry to hear you're having troubles listening on web.

Have you tried a different browser? Or is it happening on all browsers? If it's happening on a specific browser, what is the browser you use to listen Pandora?

I have been using the Chrome browser since it became available. I just
tried the Edge browser and had the same problem. And I had the same result
with my Sea Monkey.

Are accounts ever tagged for extended play? I listen to my stations all day.

@JimmyJo If you haven't already, please check the General troubleshooting steps for Chrome.

If after trying those steps you still have issues, the problem may be related to the network you're using to connect to Pandora, so, if possible, please try connecting your device directly via an Ethernet cable and see if that helps.

If there is no change, try rebooting your connection: 

  1. Shut down your device completely;
  2. Unplug your modem and router, wait one full minute, and then plug them back in;
  3. Wait five more minutes to allow the modem and router to fully boot back up;
  4. Turn your device back on and try Pandora again.

If Pandora still isn't working, could you check if you're able to connect to your network using another streaming service, such as YouTube?

You might also try connecting your device to an entirely different network, or using a different device on your current network, to see if your streaming improves.
