Windows Desktop App: Long delays between songs

BrandonN
Local Performer

I too am experiencing long delays between songs.  I am listening to Pandora on the desktop application, version 15.0.3.0.  My system is a Windows 10 Enterprise OS build 18363.1500.  My subscription is Pandora Plus.  The station I am listening to when this happens is Study Radio.

Any help in resolving these delays would be appreciated.

@BrandonN Sorry for any trouble.

Could you please tell me a little more about what is happening?

  • Are there only long pauses between songs when listening to your Study Radio station? Can you please try reproducing this issue on a different station and let me know if it occurs there as well?
  • Are there long delays between all songs, or only some songs? If only some songs, can you please send me a screenshot of the next track that plays when there is a long pause when it is finished playing?

Thanks for working with me on this. 🤝

I am having the same problem w/my desktop playback. The pause lasts 10-20 seconds. The time played bar will progress and resets music starts playing. I have a fast network connection so that is not the problem. It dosen't do it so much when I use my android phone w/crappy t-mobile 4g connection but is annoying on the desktop.

Hi there, @bobalou. 👋

Thanks for letting us know about your experience.

Let's try some troubleshooting steps to see if we can resolve the issue.

First, try resetting the Pandora app from the Help menu (not to worry, we'll keep track of your profile and collection for you). Press Alt on your keyboard to bring up a menu options at the top of the page, then select Help and Reset App Data.

If you're still having issues, try uninstalling and reinstalling using the following steps:

  1. Locate Pandora in your Start Menu, and right-click to reveal an additional menu. Select Uninstall from the dropdown menu. From there, select Pandora from the list and confirm by selecting Uninstall once more.
  2. Next, find our app in the Windows Store on your device. Search for Pandora in the upper right corner and click or tap Get to re-install.

Please note that downloading any application on your devices requires a Microsoft account and password, and it may be a different email address and password than those on your Pandora account.

Also, we do not support Pandora on unofficial OS releases, like preview or developer builds. We only support Pandora on configurations that we have fully tested, so as to ensure the application will work correctly and not cause any problems with functions of the device.

Hope this helps! Let me know how it goes. 🎧
