How Thumbs, Collection, and Downloads Work

I don't know if this is only me, but I get so confused between the "Thumb" v "Collected" v "Download".  Frankly, if I hit the "Thumbs up" feature, it should automatically Collect and Download.  Making this a multi-step process is so confusing.

Am I missing something?

Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts. I moved your post over to our My Collection Board to keep things organized and help to clarify a bit more.

While Thumbs Up, Collecting, and Downloading can seem similar, they each serve a different purpose:

• Thumbs Up (available on all tiers) helps personalize your stations. It tells the algorithm you enjoy that track so it can play more music like it.
• Collecting (Premium feature) adds the song, album, or artist to My Collection for easy access within your library.
• Downloading (Premium feature) makes specific songs, albums, or playlists available for offline listening. While Plus subscribers have offline access to their most-listened-to stations, the ability to choose exactly what to download is a Premium feature.

Because personalization, library management, and offline listening are designed as separate functions, they currently require separate actions.

If you’re envisioning a more streamlined experience as a Premium listener, such as combining Thumbs, Collecting, and Downloading into a single action, that would make a great feature suggestion. Feel free to share that idea on our Ideas Board.
