It's August of 2026, and now that the Ideas Board has been eliminated, I'd like to reassert that the gap between tracks needs to go. There are many albums where one track is supposed to transition SEAMLESSLY from one track to the next - when you listen on physical media, or ANY OTHER STREAMING SERVICE, you can't tell where one track ends and the next begins. On Pandora, however, there's a gap of silence between every track, and it is incredibly annoying when there should be none - just try listening to pretty much any Pink Floyd album, or any number of live albums. This is an issue that needs to be fixed.
I would furthermore like to clarify that this ISSUE is not the same as a crossfade FEATURE. When I complained about this issue originally, my post was merged into the crossfade feature request, which was an egregious conflation of two very different things. To be clear, I am not opposed to the crossfade feature, but I have zero interest in it. If offered, I would not use it. I want my album tracks to have overlapping fade-outs and fade-ins no more than I want them to have a silent gap between them.
This is not explicitly a Desktop issue - it's a Pandora issue.
