What if you like a song but it's playing on the wrong channel

I have a few Pandora stations and most of the time it's a pain to stop what I'm doing and  get up and go over to the device to like or dislike a song, so I don't do that often.

Occasionally I find that there is a song I like but it really belongs in a different channel. How do I send it to the other channel? I don't want to ban the song entirely.

Wish I could cast Pandora to my Chromecast

@Tasha787 If you don't like a song that is playing on a particular station, then what you can do is give that track a Thumbs Down.

Thumbs are station specific, so please feel free to Thumb Up and Thumb Down accordingly. Giving a Thumb rating on one station will not affect any of your other stations.

For instructions on how you can set up Pandora with Chromecast, check out this help page article.

Hope this helps!

I remember when this actually WAS a thing you could do on Pandora(the closest thing you can do now is remember the name/artist of the song you like, navigate to the channel you want it on, add it as a seed, then thumb it down on the channel it's playing on 'incorrectly'). I don't understand their reasoning for a lot of things, especially the removal of useful features like that. You used to be able to tell it to move it to another station & I think it would put it under that stations thumbed-up songs. It's been like a decade though, so memory's a bit old. 😒

Pandora! PLEASE bring this feature back!

Also @Tasha787, I think it's important to understand that adding a piece of music(vs an artist) to a channel as a seed means that Pandora, until they change something, will NEVER play that piece on the channel it's added to.  It's one of the many ways Pandora is broken & refuses to be fixed.

I ran into this again recently with a channel I just created a few days ago.  I started the channel from the song "Centipede" by 'Knife Party' on my phone(the Pandora mobile "App") & it started playing that exact song.  This was pleasantly unexpected, but within 15 seconds, as I was editing the name of the channel & adding artists thereto, it suddenly stopped playback & loaded another song.  That's how 'anti-play-seeded-songs' Pandora is.  ..couldn't even let it play through once since it was a seed.  Not only that, but then the app consistently failed to actually remove the song from the channel so it would eventually play 'normally'!  I must've told it to remove it from the seeds part of the channel, including hitting the save button(which tells you it's successfully saved!), at least 7-8 times before I finally got to my computer to try it on the F.F. browser I use.  That SEEMS to've worked thus far, but it's just another example of things to expect from a platform that's no longer truly supported on the backend.

...kinda like these threads getting marked solved just because mods respond to them.  I've almost always had to tell the thread that said response it not the solution, particularly when there IS no solution.  It's especially egregious when someone tells you that you can do a thing that you've already outlined in your original thread as an unwanted requirement or is out of the question for wtvr reason.  Makes one feel like they didn't even bother reading what you'd written.  I dunno if you knew you could do that, but yes, you can click the 3 dots on their response, when it offers nothing to actually solve the issue/answer the question, & select "Not the Solution."  Hope this helps!
