Android TV: Ambient mode stops playback

Pandora plays fine on hisense TV by itself. Ambient mode (screensaver using Google photos) also has no issues by itself but when I try to use them both together, pandora stops. I've uninstalled, reinstalled, cleared cache and data, checked permissions but nothing has resolved the issue.

Suggestions?

Can you confirm if Ambient Mode previously worked and a this is a recent change on your TV?

In the meantime can you let me know some info about your TV?

• What is the model number and year of your TV?
• Also can you let me know which OS version you're currently running?

Originally the two where functioning together and the only change I can think of was when I tried to integrate the Google assistant /Google home to the equation. I've since tried to unlink from both but the problem still exists.


The TV is a 65A65H  65"Hisense smart tv 4k, Android TV version 11, purchased in 2022


Any available updates to the TV and apps have been applied.
