Sony Receiver: Activation code expires immediately

I am trying to activate pandora on my SONY STR-DN850 receiver.  As soon as i enter the code it says it is expired

Are you still having trouble activating your Sony receiver?

If yes, could you confirm these are the steps you've taken:

• Launch the Pandora application.
• Select New User.
• An activation page will appear with a code - leave this code up on the device screen as you continue.

From the web, visit www.pandora.com/sony and enter the activation code there.

Or, from a mobile device, open the Pandora app and go to Settings, then tap Device Activation and enter the code.

Let me know if the code continues to show expired when you enter it. Thanks!

Thanks for the reply! Sorry for the delay in response. 

I just wanted to follow up and let you know I have reported your experience to our engineering team for further review. 

Are you using an app to log into your Sony receiver or are you activating directly on you device? Does an option to log in by email appear?

Could you confirm the year of your SONY STR-DN850?
