When setting up Pandora on my Denon DNP-720AE network audio player I put in all my information e-mail, password and then hit log-in and then it's supposed to authenticate and log me on, but it doesn't. Instead, it shows authenticate for a split second and goes back to log-in, if you keep hitting log-in it just flashes back and forth from log-in to authenticate. It stops short of authenticating; it will not let me log into Pandora. The information I'm putting in is correct because if I go on my PC I log-in without a problem. Just so you know the unit always worked in the past then just recently these games started.
I have run the unit wireless, which by the way always worked. Then I hard wired the unit with a cat5 cable and still the same result. I even bought another unit thinking maybe the unit failed but the new Denon unit does the same exact thing. If anyone has an idea what the hell is up with this thing it would be a great help
Hi @wiseguy32
Welcome to community!
Sorry to hear you're having trouble logging in on your Denon.
Since you've already tried a number of steps and are still running into the same issue, I've gone ahead and shared the details you've provided with our engineering team so they can take a closer look.
In the meantime, could you follow up with some additional questions I have:
Thanks for your help with these details!
The problem started gradually about two months ago, each time I would fire up the Denon unit I would have to get it to log onto my router before I could do anything. Once logged in then I would have to go Pandora and put in all my data e-mail and password. The Denon unit now have my info locked in and any time after I would just have to go to log-in each time and then I would get onto Pandora. As time went on it got harder and harder to log into Pandora sometimes as much as three tries. Now when you hit log-in it jumps to authentication and right back to log-in, keep hitting the button and it goes back and forth log-in... authentication, back to log-in. It never finishes the last step which is authentication thus never firing up Pandora. The Denon unit I'm using is older DMP-720AE. As far as updating software it won't do that ether it comes up failed each time, I would guess the reason for that is the Denon site did away with the firmware page for this thing. The new stuff is there for HEOS but not the older software.
This unit only offers three sites to log onto Napster, Pandora, and Rhapsody. All other functions work perfectly AM-FM, USB and all others. Bought a second unit and it does the same exact thing!
