I am not sure where this is supposed to go but why on earth does Pandora allow ADs that talk about abortion and death penalty??? Is this supposed to be family friendly?? Does Pandora just let any AD run before vetting?? I dont care what side of the conversation you are on

Adding my concerns, though it seems to only trigger basic scripted responses that prioritize marketing and the company's bottom line:  in the past few days (barely into 2023), my ad-supported Pandora profile has been almost-flooded with unwanted sexually-explicit visual ads including male nudity and female near-nudity.  Unacceptable.  If this is tied to Pandora's dependency on Facebook/ Meta's Audience Network service, then Pandora is pushing me, my relatives, and many others to fully leave. I will NOT take screenshots of those disturbing images, even for reporting, because I don't want those on my devices at all.  This pattern was not in Pandora before 2 weeks ago, so the company should already know what recent change caused this problem - which is the change the company must fix before February 2023. After that, we will most likely be deleting our profiles.

The Adam & Eve ads are super annoying. I get it’s close to Valentines Day but I don’t want to hear that **ahem**. If there was a way to thumbs down a particular ad, that would be great.

Seems like some people have even worse issues than I do. I'm frankly just grossed out by ads about trimming pubic hair. Please vet your advertisers. I'll have to stop listening and just stream a few radio stations.

There is an ad currently playing for pubic hair grooming.  Come on people!  The insurance ads and the one with the woman yelling "give me that intercom thingy is ok"  pubic hair, clean it up and your customers and users shouldn't be having to jump through hoops to ensure my kids don't listen to pubic hair products.  World's going to **ahem**

In the meantime, you might want to restrict Pandora from playing songs with explicit content. When you do that, you not only remove songs with explicit lyrical content, you also remove some ads that are not intended for people who have demonstrated an aversion to explicit content. As a result, this option may remove some advertisements that might offend you.

To disable explicit content from our website on a computer, click the icon (initial or picture) on the top right corner of the page, select Settings, and then Content Settings.

There, you should see an Explicit Content toggle, which indicates whether you would like to allow explicit content or not. Set this to Off.

No, it doesn't help. I'm not concerned about the songs. I'm concerned about the ads. Do you not understand why that's a huge difference to your customers? None of my stations have ever played anything more "explicit" than an occasional swear word. I don't listen to that kind of music. Being subjected, REPEATEDLY, to clearly offensive ads designed to get attention by being blatantly offensive and/or simply "gross" is an entirely different matter. I have no interest in censoring artists. I certainly do feel assaulted by repetitive commercials intentionally attempting to be offensive.

I feel it would be to the benefit OF YOUR RESPECTABLE ADVERTISERS to allow users to have a completely separate option to block offensive ads, or mark certain ads as offensive the same way we can "thumb down" certain songs. Nobody benefits when you drive customers away from listening at all.

I have my setting to restrict Pandora from playing songs with explicit content, and I still get these nasty ads. There has to be a way to get these adult commercials from playing. I am fine with ads, just not about pubic hairs. Were you able to fine a way to get them to stop without changing platforms?

After finalizing my recent report to Pandora's team, I told them I would wait for a signal that they actually addressed my concerns and offered a viable solution and then I would give them 1 more chance before deleting my account.  Since then, I have not yet received such a solution; therefore, I have not used Pandora (except for 2 times initially, through a laptop instead of my phone) in all that time (almost a month now).  Other than that, I've seen no other option for avoiding "those" ads.  (Yes, my setting to block explicit content has been on for multiple years but didn't stop this sudden increase in inappropriate visual ads.)

@DavidJFowler I took a look at your settings, and see you currently have your account set up to allow explicit content:

You will need to toggle that setting to OFF in order to prevent explicit content from playing on your account.

Again, the reported issue is not a problem with swear-lyric songs played; the issue is practically X-rated visual ads appearing alongside any song.  

The Team contacted me with general info, but has not given me a clear message that those ads won't appear in my account anymore.  Therefore, I have not resumed using the Pandora services, at my previous frequency.

If Pandora vets all the ads so well, why did I just receive an ad for a casino (Detroit MGM) that used "sexy dancers" as one of its selling points. Even though those are two of the three topics (3rd one is politics, but I know you get a lot of money from that, so that isn't the issue) I do not find appropriate for my family to hear while I am streaming music to the household. Is there anyway to opt out of any gambling and sex-related ads in the? I know Google has a toggle somewhere deep in their options, was just wondering.

I couldn't figure out which ad-providers in that big list you have might have been pushing those specific ads. Thanks for taking the time to read this though.

The next time this ad plays, please make sure you grab a screenshot of it.

I'll then need you to follow up with as much of the below information as possible:

1. What was the ad for? Do you remember the brand, product, event or website name?
2. Do you remember anything specific that was said or mentioned in the explicit ad that played?
3. What is the name of the station you were listening to?
4. What day and time did this advertisement play?

How do I report an ad I find inappropriate? I keep getting commercials for The Boogeyman, and I DETEST horror films. I do not want to be forced to listen to it over and over again and be forced to have its content in my head. I carefully consider what I put in my mind, and I would appreciate it if Pandora would honor that belief. Thank you for your consideration.

You might also consider upgrading to Pandora Plus or Pandora Premium. These are our advertising-free subscriptions, which also offer a number of other benefits you might find attractive.

For instance, Pandora Plus includes unlimited skips, replays, and offline listening, while Pandora Premium boasts all of these features as well as a curated, on-demand library.
