The ability to search songs should be available to all tiers. However as a Plus or ad supported listener, you'll need to activate a Premium Session in order to listen to on-demand content, such as tracks, albums or playlists.
As a Plus subscriber, you get ad-free personalized stations, the ability to skip or replay more tracks, offline listening, benefit from higher quality audio and a longer timeout period.
Premium subscription includes all the benefits of Plus, but also offers the ability to search and play songs on-demand.
