December 2025 I was charged $8.99 from Pandora. No change to my bank account. No fraud alerts. Automatic payments. In other words, it just carries on, and I just listen.
I get an email in 2/13/2026 from Pandora@pandora.com stating:
“We’re writing to let you know that your payment details are out of date so we were unable to process your subscription.
You can get back to listening with Premium Military features by updating your payment details and re-subscribing.“
I don’t always check my email, but when I started hearing ads, I figured something was up. “Using the App”, I checked my profile and it said I no longer had a subscription.
So, assuming the email was legit…could have sent it sooner…I re-subscribed. Now all my downloads are gone. The “My Collection” doesn’t seem to have all my history.
And how do I get my military discount back?
what happened Pandora? Been a listener since 2005.

Hi @Tony1969 , thanks for posting.
I'm sorry for the trouble you have been experiencing with your military subscription.
I checked the account linked to your community profile, and it looks like it failed to renew back on January 18th because the payment was declined, which should match the notification email, and the subscription expired on February 13th after several declined attempts.
I can see that you already upgraded back to Premium through Apple. So you know, Subscriptions purchased on iOS devices (iPhone, iPad) are billed through Apple.
That said, is not possible to activate the Military plan through third-party vendors (e.g., Apple or Google Play).
If you're interested in subscribing back to the Pandora Premium Military, you'd need to cancel your current subscription and wait for it to expire.
If you'd like to you can upgrade to Pandora Plus or one of our Premium subscriptions from the Pandora website.
Select your subscription preference and enter your payment method: Credit Card or PayPal.
Finally, since offline is a feature that is only available when getting a subscription, when your account was set back to offline, the offline feature was removed and therefore the offline content too. So you will need to re-download your offline content
Let me know if you have any trouble with this or if you need further instructions.

Thank you for the information.
I’m not sure why my payments were declined.
I never received a notice until it was too late.
My bank never sent a notice for a declined payment.
My bank account/card hadn’t changed since December (last successful payment). So the January 18 declined payment is highly suspicious…especially additional attempts.
I believe this is a Pandora issue, as I used the exact same credentials (bank card) on ApplePay as was being used for my Pandora account.
Regards,
Tony
