Check box to select artists.

Hi 

I’m new to Pandora. When I go into the my collections section sometimes there are check boxes on the right side so that I can select the artists to shuffle but most of the time the check boxes disappear or I can’t find them. 
What’s up?  How do I get to the check boxes so I can select the music I want to hear and not shuffle through all of the artists every time?

If I see it again I will take a screen shot.  In the collections section the artists one has chosen are listed in a column on the left. On the right there were small blue boxes one could touch and a check would appear.  This allows you to choose the artists you want to hear at a given time.  It’s a great option. If I see it again I will get a screen shot.
