Pandora won't shut down on iPhone 8

Pandora wont shut down on my phone and the screen is black with a spinning circle.  It wont allow me to shut the phone down or do anything.

Never mind - I called Apple and they gave me a way to restart my phone.  The problem was the ad that Pandora posted asking me to go to premium.  It would not close.  Thanks Pandora.
