@dshrode13 I moved your post over to the iOS space.

Could you explain what's happening in more detail? The more information you can provide, the better I can help.

When this issue occurs:

  • Does the music skip without ever actually playing? Or does a song partially play, however it skips over to the next track before finishing?
  • Is the app still open in the background where you're able to press play and resume music or do you need to close and relaunch the app to continue listening?
  • Are you listening to a station, album, playlist, or podcast?
  • Are you connected to Wi-Fi or cellular data? If using Wi-Fi, are you able to recover the listening session by toggling Wi-Fi off?
  • Are you using a Bluetooth connection?

Additionally, please provide both your iOS and Pandora app versions:

  • iOS version: (Settings > General > About > Version)
  • Pandora version: (Pandora > Profile tab > Settings gear & scroll to the bottom of the screen)

Thanks for your help!

Hi @Ths7993 , thanks for posting and welcome to the Pandora Community!

Can you tell me a bit more of what's happening please? When this happens:

  • Is the app still open in the background where you're able to press play and resume music or do you need to close and relaunch the app to continue listening?

Thanks for working on this with us!

Hi Adam,

Thank you for your quick response.

It happens both on Cellular data and on Wifi (i.e when connecting to a bluetooth speaker at home). For cellular data - it also happens when driving (with Google Maps) or when on a walk in a suburban environment.

Songs play, but they skip within the same song (they don't skip to the next song - although that has happened a couple of times - but not the predominant issue. When this happens the app is on in the background (when on a walk, the phone is in my pocket, when driving, (I have Google Maps up as the primary app so I can follow the directions).

This happens when listening to stations.

This has been happening a bit more frequently but typically resolves in about 5 seconds - but the frequency is going up.  I haven't toggled the WiFi off yet, (however, when this happens it's mostly using cellular data).

iOS version = 18.6.2
Pandora version: 2506.1.1

Thank you for all the help!
