iOS: Replay button grayed out on lock screen

Can you PLEASE make it possible to replay songs on the Lock Screen?  I have a Pandora Plus account which gives me the option to replay songs in the app. But when my phone is locked that option is there, but grayed out, meaning it’s there but unusable. Why is this?  If I’m paying for the ability to replay songs, I shouldn’t have to unlock the phone to do so. Please fix this asap. Thank you.

Can you tell me more about this?

  • Is this happening only on your phone? Or do you have another device where you experience the same situation?
  • Is this happening for all your songs or just specific songs? If it is for specific songs, can you tell me the name of some of them?
  • Are you having trouble with any other of the controls while the phone is locked?
  • What's the make and model of your phone?

It’s happening on my iPhone 14 Pro Max and my iPad Pro (3rd generation).  All songs are affected. Those are the only devices I use with Pandora (not counting CarPlay).  Other controls (play/pause/skip) work normally.

If you haven't, please try the steps described here: iOS Troubleshooting.

If you continue to have trouble after that, I would like to report this issue to our engineers. Could you tell me more about your device?

  • Carrier:
  • iOS version: (Settings > General > About > Version)
  • Pandora version: (Pandora > Profile tab > Settings gear & scroll to the bottom of the screen)
     

Are you connected to Wi-Fi or cellular data when this is happening?

Have you identified any other patterns or notable information?

This happens regardless of connection status. WiFi or cellular. It’s the app I downloaded from Apple’s App Store.  My carrier is T-Mobile. I’ll check out the troubleshooting link, but know this does not seem like a big issue. Like I said, the replay arrow is there, it’s just unusable. Making it usable doesn’t seem like it should be a big undertaking. At least I hope not.

Troubleshooting did nothing. It’s still an issue. I get not having this option if I was using the free option, but people paying for Pandora (whichever level) should be able to replay songs from the Lock Screen
