The ads are letting you listen for free, if you don’t like the ads there is a very simple solution, pay for a subscription and you will not hear any ads. They play the ads that people pay them to play. If you need to hear a Trump ad on Pandora, contact the Trump campaign and ask them to run ads on Pandora. While you are complaining about ads, it’s those ads that allow you to listen for free. So you may want to send a thank you to the Harris campaign. First, which Love Song channel are you referring to? You can easily share a link to the station in question so we can listen to hear what you are referring to. A station called Love Songs and not one love song played for an hour, is that based on how you define a love song? If you are bothered by the content of the lyrics of that one song because you feel it’s explicit, there are setting to prohibit explicit content. More numbers were released yesterday.  Pandora, the music-streaming service owned by SiriusXM, reported a decline in its user base as of June. Monthly active users dropped by 4.8% year-on-year to 45.1 million. The number of self-pay subscribers also fell by 5.1%, bringing the total to just under six million. Information released today indicates that Pandora lost 41,000 self pay subscribers in the April-June quarter.  I predict this trend will not only continue but increase until those in charge start paying attention and implement some changes and do so quickly.  The most obvious one is the improve the streaming audio quality. Pandora has the lowest audio quality of all major music streaming services. Spotify is now ready to offer lossless streaming possibly by the end of 2024. Pandora is being left behind in this area and honestly, the company should be embarrassed that with their massive head start against most of the other streaming services, Pandora has fallen completely behind. Bring back the weekly personalized playlist for subscribers. That was a great feature and made opening the Pandora app exciting because a new updated playlist was waiting for you almost daily. Offer a SiriusXm/Pandora combined subscription. There are many other things I could suggest but the bottom line is this, Pandora it’s 2024 and there are so many streaming services to choose from. I am truly curious, I have seen multiple times how that it’s the people who use the free service that sometimes complain the loudest. If you use the free service , do you feel entitled to complain about  service you aren’t paying for? Threatening to leave a service you aren’t paying for seems like an odd approach to the situation. The cost for Podcast to obtain the license to offer the music is extremely high. For example:  Spotify, for instance, has reported to pay 70% of its revenue to rights holders.  In 2018, Spotify paid around $1.8 billion in royalties to music rights holders.   How would you like Pandora to cover the cost for you to listen and cover the royalties for the songs you listen to?  There are a few options since you are using the free service. 1.  advertising, they have to have enough advertisements to not just cover the cost but to make money, Pandora is a business, it’s not a charity. 2. They could charge those who pay for the service so much that  it covers the cost of those who use the free service. That seems not only ridiculous but unreasonable. . It’s never fun to not have enough money to pay for a service you desperately want. Pandora does offer the Plus plan which is $4.99 per month. It isn’t as good as Pandora Premium but it’s cheaper than every major streaming service. I do find it interesting that the people who sometimes complain the loudest are those who aren’t paying for the service. There is a very very easy way to remove all ads.
