My name is, Joey! I was born in Puerto Rico and lived for a short time in Bakersfield, CA, where I experienced my first Nintendo—playing Super Mario 3 around 1989–90 (can’t remember exactly). My favorite genre of music is metal. I grew up listening to a lot of it in Tallahassee, FL, where I moved when I was about 7. Slayer, Megadeth—all the classics, easy. I do like all kinds of music though, and as I got older I branched out into rap, funk, and R&B. As time goes on, the past comes back around, and sometimes you feel like something is missing without even realizing it. Then you end up going back to your roots. Recently I got back into metal—listening to Immortal, Dimmu Borgir, Old Man’s Child… you know, the good stuff. Around 2005 was my peak metal phase years ago, so it’s been cool getting back into the classics. I haven’t really spent time on newer stuff since I stopped listening back then. My last concert was Municipal Waste in 2025. One of my favorite features about Pandora… my wife and I love it. It’s what we started with. It’s easy to use and has become a staple in our lives. I keep coming back. Gotta hit that 20-year goal award lol.
