Most of favorite artists strattle the lines of genre buckets. I’m in my 60’s and unfortunately I can’t say that most Rap and Hip-Hop is actually Music. I agree with George Harrison’s opinion on Rap. But, each of us find joy in different places. I like some country, remakes of the 30’s to 50’s classic torch song standards and 50’s doo-wop, My ear staples of 70’s soft rock, Viet Nam war protest songs, then I want some John Mayer, Johnny Lang, Norah Jones, Little Walter and on to Nirvana, the Sex Pistols and the occasional earworm from the European band - Everything But the Girl and their song - Driving. My personal classification method is very simple- just 3 types!
