The Rippingtons - A sort of pop jazz world mix, very well produced. They are instrumentals from some of the top guitarists, saxophonists etc...Brains behind them Russ Freeman. This is such an incredible piece of music of many. https://www.pandora.com/artist/the-rippingtons/kilimanjaro/northern-lights-album-version-feat-russ-freeman/TRq4hw9Jfd6pbcP https://pandora.app.link/hWvpbGwAfGb

Peter White...There is a smooth soothing jazz thing happening for a bit. This person is a master at it along with some others. One of the albums I'm working on is inspired by this kind of music. Essentially, the style brings musicianship back into the spotlight. So you hear backings with frequent soloing from different kinds of players. I created a playlist of this genre as well, it's very much like the weather channel. Here is Peter's work, he is a guitarist. https://pandora.app.link/w9wsPY0PbGb

Just found this dude....very original sounding piano jazz and original sounding piano to boot. Anomalie https://pandora.app.link/EDwz3OlxNFb He has a cool mix of dance of sugar plum fairy which is how I found him through an FB share. Worth checking out, very original styling on that classic. It's at YT, not sure it's released. If you like Polyphia you might enjoy this jazz slant on piano style as well. I wonder why they are doing this style of fast arpeggios and runs in this way all of a sudden. I guess they are trying to stay current with more traditional instruments. Anyway it works well for this artist.

A good way to find incredible material from emerging artists is checking into production music. When I play certain tracks from the people of that world, they are generally blown away. There are thousands and they often do both indie and production music releases. This is because of the way the industry changed and people started making music for alternative formats than radio which requires the payola of record labels (thousands of dollars/gifts plus whatever else promotion material such as videos). An example would be my gifted associate Mars Lasar, he is on the inside track of some of the sync world but no one from the masses will have ever heard of him. He worked on the first Seal album: https://www.pandora.com/artist/mars-lasar/ARcfqK9cpqgcnrK VAST - John Crosby One of the most talented musicians to walk the earth and most will never have heard of him: https://www.pandora.com/artist/vast/ARvjVfpvzmKPxbk ES Posthumus: https://www.pandora.com/artist/es-posthumus/ARpg99ccb2fw29g Thomas Bergersen: https://www.pandora.com/artist/thomas-bergersen/ARJgpbgn6wZnZ34 Les Friction: https://www.pandora.com/artist/les-friction/ARznPx6hVmlglb6 What's incredible about film and production music is that is an extension of classical music. So you take the virtuosity and unchained quality of that kind of music to the current era and combine the production processing of modern tools. The great music of the latest era doesn't come through radio it comes from the TV/Film world so it doesn't reach mainstream and generally works as an underscore to motion pictures. It was previously easier to gain financial momentum through the sync industries than getting on label, they did not trap artists into the bad record deals. The pay was not as much but it was easier to get work and develop albeit via slower and more time consuming methods. The long game is absolutely brutal so many don't make it that way either.

Hi I'm CMDess and am on the Pandora system for a few. I am a music maker who spent 12 years in San Francisco, California but am originally from Florida. I am currently in Florida and making music with the gigantic combination of things I've been exposed to over the years. My family is musically oriented I'd say and that was where the seeds were planted to become involved with music creation. I didn't actually take much serious developmental attention to music until in my teen years when I heard the work of Russian composer Prokofiev. Later on I also got going with modern music based on my deep research into both worlds. My mother is a Broadcast DJ since my childhood for a syndicated station in Gainesville, FL and my father (who passed in my childhood) had attended Juilliard and was supposedly friends with Chick Corea. My grandfather was the big influence though, allowing me the time to pursue such things as music in my youth as a fellow artist. My most influential creatives on the modern side where Seal and MJ. I got to work with a person who did some work for Seal and Hans Zimmer in California. I have done and explored many styles of music. I have something like 500-600 works in ASCAP (800 when combining the different elements). I created Groove Shadows and something called XRIFFz, I suppose I mean to say I gave some aspects of musical phenomena a name and aimed to develop them in my production technique. I spend a monumental amount of my free time creating music and looking into progressive ideas for it. I generally have several projects in the pipeline as well to say the least. Glad to be on Pandora, I'll cut it off here with some links! https://www.pandora.com/artist/cmdess/ARlZXgnqrvxkbgg
