Music has impacted me my whole life. I grew up in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and I still reside here to this day. I began studying piano when I was 6 years old. I always practiced when I was young. I remember playing piano and being so happy each, song I learned. I have a distinct memory of playing "I Can't Help Falling in Love," by Elvis Presley on the piano. It was the first song I ever memorized. I continued playing piano all through, out my life. I practiced at home primarily. Middle School seemed to be a challenging time for me when I played piano. The younger version of myself used to get emotional playing piano, but that is a part of playing piano. We play through our emotions. Whether it be happy, sad, angry or frustrated. There is always a song that can be played that can help you get through your day. I tend to feel more connected to my piano when I am creating my own songs. I play different cords I have played throughout my life. The flute is also an instrument I grew up playing. I began playing the flute when I was 7 or 8 years old. I have beautiful memories playing my flute. "The Stairway to Heaven," by Led Zepplin has one of my favorite flute solos in it. J'adore la flute. C'est tres belle.
