(Just tried to use my browser to log into this support request and got "an unspecified error occurred". Tried a second time, it works) I hadnt reached out to HEOS yet because 1) they are annoying to try to get in touch with, 2) I want to ensure Pandora isnt causing the issue, because I know and you know HEOS is going to start by saying its Pandora's fault. I will have to also try to get in touch with them.  Did someone on your team "reset my connection"(the auth token) last night? You had said that after we logged out and reset all our devices that your team would reset the connection and remove the "old connection from 2022" that you saw. Did that happen? Around midnight last night, our HEOS device.... came on and tried to reconnect to Pandora. The amp in it makes a "click" when it powers on, so it woke us up. Did you guys reset that auth token? Another update. Im probably closing in on the end of my patience here. Im a sysadmin, so I did what I tend to do, and I reconfigured everything from the ground up, AGAIN, to prove everything.  1. I reset my entire Marantz SACD 30n to defaults, again.  2. Reset both android devices' Pandora app, wiped both devices' HEOS, logged back in. 3. Instantly, Pandora wont even connect at all through my HEOS app(on my samsung phone). Error says "unclassified error" and Pandora's front end doesnt even load for me anymore.  4. My wife's samsung phone, identical to mine, also had its HEOS wiped and everything logged in again. Her device, somehow, can play Pandora through HEOS and she doesnt get the "unclassified" error in the same exact place mine shows an error. The Pandora app plays fine on both android devices, including mine. Its just the HEOS/pandora integration. Hopefully Pandora corp arent using "AI" slop nonsense to run their network operations (nor HEOS/Denon...) because this isnt shockingly difficult. Again -- are Pandora and HEOS not compatible? This..... has been challenging and frustrating.  We have been very busy and testing/photographing/constantly resetting these 'apps' and devices to defaults hasnt been possible.  Today, Pandora is constantly failing, constantly freezing and requiring our HEOS device to be reset to clear it, often coming back from the reset STILL FROZEN (the Pandora application only). We have images and videos of the issue from the other day.  Today, we tried to totally remove Pandora and HEOS from all devices. While attempting to do so, the Pandora app itself, AND the HEOS app were generating errors that appeared and disappeared too quickly to screenshot. When we tried to logout, error occurred. When we tried to click into the Pandora app on HEOS, an error occurred. Finally I removed all of HEOS, all of Pandora, and signed into everything again.  We already did this, of course, over the past few months, so I dont understand how a "connection from 2022" could possibly still have anything to do with our end, or any of our systems. Please advise: DOES PANDORA WORK ON HEOS, or is HEOS abandoned by their devs and simply unable to do this? Im tired of this. Here is a photo of what our device looks like when pandora isnt working right. Sometimes it changes to "cant connect" or something, but we havent been able to photograph that. Although I am certain (very senior sysadmin here) that you can troubleshoot this from your end more successfully than we on our end... so thanks.  I could not upload video of the event occurring. Your page doesnt accept videos.    Yesterday, 5/5 at around 10-11am PST, not only our HEOS device was failing to connect to Pandora, but also our kids' tablets were not able. Our network here is 100% solid, and I maintain it (and log it, monitor it) myself, so if we had a bounce I would have seen it. We didnt. I hope that this lengthy support interaction doesnt end up with Pandora simply having infrastructure issues. We havent seen the issue again today(this is mostly a monday-friday thing, in a work space), nor on Friday, the last time we used it.  I can definitely remove the HEOS and Pandora apps from our remaining android (Samsung) device, ensuring that local cache is removed, but Im pretty sure we did that already at the very start of this ticket. Perhaps the google play package manager isnt removing the cache, even though we reset it to defaults and logged in again.  We will do that (on our phones) and reply back to this thread, probably tomorrow. Right, but I already cleared it all out at the start of this thread. This is subsequent to the full factory reset of the HEOS device. Did the factory reset not work to clear this the first time? Should I do it again, or have we miscommunicated?  Correct - the HEOS (Marantz) is the only device or platform having any trouble in this house. The issue is present if we use the HEOS app on the android device to control pandora, or if we use the HEOS device's own remote control to navigate the internal pandora app manually.  ... View more

We have reset the entire unit to defaults twice in that time, including just the other day, at the start of this thread when you asked me to do this after "resetting my connection on your end". Would resetting the account again help with this? This was literally the 1st thing we did a couple weeks ago. Should we do this again?  The other person (my partner) doesnt use pandora on her samsung device. She uses the HEOS app directly to control the pandora instance within it. Same with my device -- I have pandora installed on it but I dont play pandora from the app most of the time. Im retiring all smartphones in our house anyway, so very soon we will not even have any 'devices' that use 'apps' because the entire ecosystem is toxic and dangerous. This is very intermittent. So far we have not had additional issues since making the above post, which is frustrating. This always seems to come back after a few weeks, so I will continue... to update this thread as we have additional info.  I dont know if I should make ANOTHER thread for this, but the Pandora app inside our HEOS system is also telling us we are "out of skips" right now but we pay for the premium family plan with unlimited skips.  ... It happens on all stations. Playback will often stop/start once or twice, then stops entirely. The screen will show pandora attempting to playback the current station.  We didnt get a chance to test today (3/23) because we werent near the HEOS device. The very next time this happens we will 1) record time/date and 2) try to identify any other info on the HEOS display to do with pandora.  I fully monitor my LAN/WAN connections here and we have dozens of other devices, laptops, PCs online 24/7. My own workstation plays Pandora via the browser without any trouble, and all other devices (android tablets, phones, TVs, chromecasts) have no trouble. Its only HEOS.  ... View more

This problem is happening again. I shouldnt start a new thread because this is the SAME issue, as always. Playback continues normally for a few weeks, then the issues begin again. Playback randomly stops, will not start again. Some days it plays fine, some days it does not. No other service connected to our HEOS device, including local file server playback, has any stuttering or playback issues of any kind. Its only Pandora.  ... View more

Not sure what just happened, but I tried to reply but the "accept as solution" button was where the "reply" button should be. When I clicked "NOT solution" it erased everything.  The first time I signed into Pandora on my HEOS device was 2023. Since then I have fully reset the device, as Ive mentioned a couple times, once in the last couple weeks. The "link" between my systems and Pandora is a stored hash that contains identifying info about my hosts, network, etc, so the link is in Pandora's control, no? Im a 35+ year net/sysadmin, so this is part of my job.  I will sign into Pandora again and reply back to this thread to confirm. This issue is ruining our ability to play Pandora on our main stereo, and I am becoming quite frustrated with this, given the amount of money we pay Pandora monthly for this service, and for *how long* Ive been doing so. We have reset our HEOS device to factory defaults in attempts to fix this, but only Pandora has the issue. No other streaming services have this trouble.   Is this forum monitored by customer service, or is there a better way to get support?
