Trying to make a playlist and want to have a private chat. How can I send a private message?

@Cheekypao30 first step you must be a premium subscriber. If you are you need to go to the app store and download the app to whatever device, you are using. Once you have done that you need to sign in from the app, once you have done you should see "Collected and right after that you should see other options such as "All - Artists - Albums - Songs - Stations - Playlists - Podcasts - Episodes. You will want to click on Playlists once you do you will then look to your right and you should see a plus symbol then create playlist next to that. Name your new playlist and then add albums or songs from your favorites to that. Wish you the best.

That's correct, since Playlists are a Premium-only feature, first you need to upgrade to Pandora Premium, or you need to start a Premium complimentary session by watching an ad.

Once you have your Premium subscription or once you have activated your Premium session you can create the Playlists from My Collection following @MOHLovesAlaska steps:

1. Go to My Collection.
2. Filter your Added content by tapping the downward arrow (or "carat") which appears below the album art.
3. Select Playlist from the menu.
4. Tap + New Playlist.
5. Enter a name for your playlist and tap Next.
6. Finally, use the search bar to find your favorite songs or albums to add.
   

Or, you can also create them from the Now Playing screen or by searching a song. 

Once you have the song you want on the playlist, tap the ellipsis (...) below the album art, and indicate whether you'd like to add the track to a new playlist or an existing one.
