What's wrong with your app always flipping back to my list of stations? Very irritating.
mod edit: changed title for clarity
@Mesakel I'd be happy to help with any questions you have, but I will need additional information to do so.
Can you explain your issue a bit further?
To clarify, will the app take you back to your collection rather than stay on the now playing screen?
The more details you're able to provide, the better equipped I'll be to help.
I look forward to hearing back.
Mine does the same thing..
Android auto running versions:
Android Auto: 10.9.634644-release
Pandora: 2310.111
When I thumbs down a song it has the same effect as if I hit the back button.
It still dislikes the song, but it returns to my station list. Specifically the recent channel list.
Hi there, @Mesakel @Swampybunion. 👋
Thanks so much for reporting your experience, and sorry to hear that this is happening.
Have you tried clearing the app data to see if this impacts your listening session? If not, I would recommend starting here: Android Troubleshooting
If the issue persists, I can definitely report this over to our engineering team on your behalf.
Thanks so much for your help with this. Let me know how it goes. 🎧
Clearing App Data and App Cache did not solve the issue.
To offer an additional lead, I believe this started happening around the same time that Android Auto rolled out their update for split screen.
This scenario cannot be observed on mobile. Only when using the pandora app via Android auto
Thanks for the follow up and for providing those additional details, @Swampybunion. I've gone ahead and shared this with the appropriate party for further investigation. 🎧
I have a video of this occurring
This happens on my other phone too. Pixel 7 and OnePlus 7 pro.
These issues still exist today over a year later. I'm glad I don't pay for this service, because I'd be furious if I did.

I still have the thumbs down goes to playlist issue myself.
I also have the Android Auto "thumbs-down-goes-to-playlist" problem. It started months ago. I'm late to this thread... has a fix been developed? I also want to reiterate that this problem isn't just inconvenient and annoying; it's also DANGEROUS as it requires the driver to (unnecessarily) "play" with the audio controls. (FYI, I have uninstalled/re-installed the Pandora app on my
Android to no positive effect.)
Still no fix on my 21 Camry or on my Android running latest software. So annoying. I've really been liking Pandora over Spotify lately, too, for more variety. This issue makes me not want to use Pandora in the car, though.
I still Have the same thumbs down issue (mazda 2021 cx-30 and 2021 mazda cx-9), I always thought it was related to the the lake of touch screen. I occasionally have the three dots issue as well, but unplugging my phone and plugging back in returns it to the standard menu options.
Hi all!
Thanks for posting your experiences with Android Auto! Sorry for the trouble! Looks like this was resolved at one point, but it looks like this issue has returned. I've created a new ticket for investigation and review and included everyone who has already posted. Updates will be posted in this thread as they are provided to the moderation team. In the meantime, we appreciate your patience. Thank you much!
For those new to this thread:
If you’re experiencing this issue with your Android Auto, please provide the following information so that we can accurately pass along your information.
This is not solved.
I have AA 13.5.6502 and tried downgrading to crapdora 2409.1 from 2411.1.3 and it still is borken.
I am having the same issue. Pioneer deck used with Android Auto, but plugged into a USB cable to the radio. Thumbs down shoots me back to my collections. Have to re-select now playing to go back to the screen I was on.
As a paying customer, it's been over a year since this was reported/forwarded to the development team and the issue still exists. Can you please provide an update?

I agree with Swampybunion. The problem has been reported by many users (I too am a paid subscriber), but nothing has been done to fix it and we receive no update from Pandora. We're only asking that Pandora revert to its previous (and more logical, less annoying) functionality. I'll also observe that making the user interact more frequently with the car screen while driving is DANGEROUS.
