For some reason Pandora is running in both the forground and the background on my Samsung Galaxy. It's not a big deal except that when I want to stop the music and close Pandora, I must pause the music first. If I close the app while the music is playing the background app takes over and the music continues to play, then I have to close the background app.
Hi @kendenny
Happy Friday!
Pandora continuing to play even if you leave the app is actually expected behavior. Similar to other music streaming apps, Pandora is designed to continue playing music in the background, allowing you to seamlessly use your device for other tasks without interrupting your tunes. To fully stop playback, you'll need to actively pause the music or completely close the app from the recent apps menu. This prevents the background service from keeping the music running when you're done listening.
Hope this helps to explain!

Does anyone else have this issue? When I shut down station, app does not close, have to go to settings and force stop app. or it continues to run and drain the battery. App even tries to open when I am not using it, says trying to open (?). This has happened on 2 different phones and is the only app I have this issue with.
Have you tried restarting the phone?
I have restarted many times since this began some time ago. I have taken out battery, deleted app and reinstalled and have had a couple of different phones. Nothing works, kind of stopped listening.
Does the rest of your apps work fine?
