Android: Songs Won't Delete From Playlist

I have deleted these songs off my Playlist 5 times but they always turn up in the shuffle I've been having this problem for awhile the device i am on is Samsung S9+.

I was having this problem too and figured out a solution, since their customer service **ahem**.

1) Make a new playlist

2) Select options for old playlist (long press on mobile or click the 3 dot menu button)

3) Select "add to playlist" to add the whole old playlist to the new playlist you created.

4) Go into the edit menu for the new playlist. You will see all of the phantom songs, and you can delete them. 

5) Delete original playlist and just use the new one

Hi, so i have songs I didnt like, added to my thumbs up list. And after I delete them. I click on a song I want, and it starts playing the song I deleted as if it were on the list again. Yet it doesnt show it is. But then when I scroll down, on the song to show the tracklist, the ones I deleted are there again. What is going on?

It sounds like you are running into a couple of issues.

Random songs added to your My Thumbs Up playlist:

It sounds like you may have an unauthorized user on your account.

I've gone ahead and removed all the devices associated with your Pandora account. This will automatically sign you out everywhere including any devices you currently have, so you will need to sign back in once this change takes effect. Please be patient as this may not happen instantaneously.

You will now need to change your password to something new as well.

Click here to request a password reset and make sure to enter the email address associated with the Pandora account you'd like to access.

• Next check the Inbox associated with that email address in order to continue through the password reset process.
• If you don't see the message in your Inbox, please check your Spam or Junk folder.

Deleted tracks on your playlist re-appear:

I've enabled a trace on your account to help us better understand what's happening.

For this trace to be useful, we'll need you to run through our suggested troubleshooting steps found here.

Once you have completed those steps, please try deleting those tracks from your playlist one more time.

Let me know if they end up re-appearing on your My Thumbs Up playlist again after you delete them.

Android mobile app. When looking at the playlist the "deleted" songs no longer appear, but when playing the playlist they're still included.

I accidentally added an entire album and after I attempted to remove it, those tracks still played.

Hi! I'm having a similar issue. I'm on a Samsung S21. Carrier should be irrelevant because it happens on data and wifi. I have not tried using a computer yet. I can delete one song from a playlist just fine (by sliding it on the playlist view and hitting delete), but if I try to do any more, it deletes from the playlist view but not the player view. This causes the two to desync, so the song playing according to the playlist view is a song or two (depending on how many I tried deleting) after the one that's actually playing if it's further down the playlist from the song I tried deleting. It also affects selecting songs to play from the playlist view. This happens when I'm deleting while listening to the playlist I'm editing and when listening to a different playlist. This has happened on all playlists I've tried deleting multiple songs from for a while (I can't say exactly how long). There is no error message. I might remember a song showing back up on the playlist view after a while, but I cannot remember it clearly enough to say it happens. One image is after I tried deleting one song, and the other is after I tried deleting a second song. Any songs above the glitched ones in the playlist are unaffected. This is very annoying and I'd love to see it fixed soon!

Your feedback has now been added to the ticket we have open with the engineers who are looking into this.

In the meantime, you should be able to delete any tracks from your customized playlists when logging into your account on a computer.

I finally figured out that I could swipe songs off the list because there was no other way to remove them.  But it doesn't work all the time & not on my tablet,  only my phone.  But rently my phone started playing song but displaying a different song.  So I am afraid to remove songs now because the title isn't the actual song. The app on my phone has gotten screwy. I uninstalled & reinstalled it but it's still screwy. Phone is a  Galaxy S10 and my tablet is some kind of Samsung.

To clarify, when your phone displays a different song than what is actually playing, is the track playing one that you recently deleted from your playlist?

Or does it play a track that you've never added to your playlist before?

I have been trying to clean up a 1,023 song Playlist "The S**t" on Android and PC for months now. I delete over 100 songs after making a list of the ones. Delete duplicate songs. And within seconds the songs are right back there. 

I deleted by swiping and watched the number go down, then go right back to 1023. I edit, save, and they are still there. I'm out of ideas. 

There are no errors. They delete and then poof they are back.

Last night I noticed one of my playlists has all these new random songs that I did not add. When I try to delete them they disappear from sight, but still play. When I click on a song, it plays a song a few above or below it. Anyone have a solution?

This thread has existed for YEARS now. Enough is enough. When are you going to fix this obvious bug that is causing many people to not use such a simple feature an app should support? I'm not giving you my phone's info, you have enough evidence this is a bug, go and fix it already. Period The End.

Im on my phone and the same **ahem** happens. Clearly your version of "troubleshooting" is ineffective. People are having this issue more and more. Maybe an update for the app would work?

I have a galaxy s22 ultra and same for me. I have deleted these songs dozens of times and they will be deleted from the list , but then they still play but will play from under the name of a different song on my list. When I leave the list and then go back the songs repopulate on the list again. Very, very frustrating
