We appreciate everyone's patience, and understand that these issues around Apple CarPlay have been frustrating and disruptive to your listening experience in the vehicle. Our engineering teams have been working diligently to resolve this for all impacted listeners.
We're happy to announce that Pandora version 2411.1 for iOS should resolve the following issues with CarPlay:
- Listeners who experience trouble with stations loading in the Recent tab.
- Listeners who experience an error message "There was a problem loading this content".
- Listeners who experience loading issues with songs within a playlist.
- Listeners who experience the screen not automatically transitioning to the Now Playing screen.
We recommend manually updating to the latest version (2411.1) of Pandora by visiting the Apple App Store on your iOS device and using the below steps to update.
How to manually update apps on your iPhone:
- Open the App Store.
- Tap the My Account button or your photo at the top of the screen.
- Scroll down to see pending updates and release notes. Tap Update next to an app to update only that app, or tap Update All.
In some cases you may need to refresh the page in order to see the update. After updating to Pandora version 2411.1, please try Pandora with CarPlay again and let us know if you're still having trouble.

I recently installed ios 18 on my iphone and ow all of a sudden I am having the "problem loading this content" issue, despite the fact that I am using the most recent version of Pandora 2411.1). I've also tried everything else I have read about: restarting phone; reinstalling Pandora; clearing cache; etc. Please help!

Not sure why so are still experiencing the same problem. I just deleted my old version and downloaded the new version to 2411.1 and everything is working perfectly. Maybe try deleting and reinstalling once more. Nice to be back Pandora!!

I am in the same boat. I have tried all these measures, to no avail. I concur that it is very frustrating.

It saves them all, as long as you know your log in information and don’t have to create a new account.

Previously when I had a iPhone XS with iOS 17, I was able to use my Apple CarPlay with no problems. But when my phone was upgraded to iOS 18, I started having difficulty and kept getting the message cannot load content. Just today I updated my Pandora app with the new version and I’m happy to say that my full use of Apple CarPlay and Pandora has been restored. Thank you very much for adjusting this problem.
