Pandora Update (11/22/2024):

We appreciate everyone's patience, and understand that these issues around Apple CarPlay have been frustrating and disruptive to your listening experience in the vehicle. Our engineering teams have been working diligently to resolve this for all impacted listeners.

We're happy to announce that Pandora version 2411.1 for iOS should resolve the following issues with CarPlay:

  • Listeners who experience trouble with stations loading in the Recent tab.
  • Listeners who experience an error message "There was a problem loading this content".
  • Listeners who experience loading issues with songs within a playlist.
  • Listeners who experience the screen not automatically transitioning to the Now Playing screen.

We recommend manually updating to the latest version (2411.1) of Pandora by visiting the Apple App Store on your iOS device and using the below steps to update.

How to manually update apps on your iPhone:

  • Open the App Store.
  • Tap the My Account button or your photo at the top of the screen.
  • Scroll down to see pending updates and release notes. Tap Update next to an app to update only that app, or tap Update All.

In some cases you may need to refresh the page in order to see the update. After updating to Pandora version 2411.1, please try Pandora with CarPlay again and let us know if you're still having trouble.

Please use your mobile device in your vehicle only when conditions allow and as permitted by applicable law.

It seems pandora doesn’t really care as this has been an ongoing problem with absolutely no fix!

Pandora seems incapable (or just won't) of fixing the issues with CarPlay. Over a month and still no fix

Get this ALL the time. The most infuriating problem is I pay for premium to have offline content. Pandora, I’m the near decade I’ve been a paying customer, has automatically fallen back to offline music maybe… three times. So frustrating.

Same issue here. Using latest app update and iOS 18 on a 2023 Cayenne

I’ve discovered that the problem loading content is only when using CarPlay
wirelessly. Pandora with IOS 18.01 works fine using CarPlay when connected
with a USB cable.

The only FIX I found was to downgrade your iPhone to ios-17.7 (not an easy proce$$)

I am having the same problem on my 2023 Toyota Highlander since updating iPhone to IOS 18. I am getting messages like  having problems downloading this content. Hopefully you can fix this soon. Totally worthless as is.

Agreed. 2021 f150.

I also like to use google maps, but that has been affected as well since
the update. It will not load in automatically from my phone and when I load
it, it doesn’t coexist with the music input.

Same issue for me. Also, will not display the song list for albums until I go back and click the album a second time.

I was billed for my monthly subscription, and I’m still having issues. Giving Pandora another week then I’m cancelling.
