What are you're favorite alternative bands?

My favorite is the gorrilaz

@Dragon19431 Lynyrd Skynyrd, Pink Floyd, Def Leppard, AC/DC, U2, Rolling Stones, 4 Non Blondes, Fleetwood Mac. My top 2 favorites are Led Zeppelin and the Black Crowes. Great question. 

The Tragic story behind the Plane crash that killed 3 members of the Lynyrd Skynyrd band, Singer Ronnie Van Zant, guitarist Steve Gaines, and backing singer Cassie Gaines, died along with three others in the Convair CV-300 accident in Mississippi. The band Aerosmith backed out of hiring that same plane, and just one week prior to that plane crash, Fleetwood Mac had used that same airplane.

I don't know if I would classify Lynyrd Skynyrd, Pink Floyd, Def Leppard, AC/DC, U2, Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin and  Fleetwood Mac as alternative. I would think of them more rock or classic rock. 

My faves are Linkin Park (although I would say they are more rock), Keene, The Cure, Depeche Mode, Erasure, The Smiths

Hmmm it depends on what you call Alternative.

For me it would be R.E.M, The cure, Depeche Mode, MGMT, Muse, The White Stripes, The Strokes, and The Killers.
