Found them in a history book so I thought I would like to share them.
"To do a common thing uncommonly well brings success"
" Do the best you can, where you are, with what you have today."
-H. J. Heinz-
Great words to share, @RagnerTheHiker.
Hope you're having a nice start to your week. ☀️
Thank you @AlyssaPandora
Yes, I am having a good start of the week.
Here is another quote.
" Not all who wander are lost."
-J.R.R. Tolkien-
@RagnerTheHiker I can state that quote as fact. I have wondered many times too many times to nowhere in paticular.
Take care, and GOD bless.
Quote from Albert Einstein explaining relativity.
"Gravitation cannot be held responsible for people falling in love. How in earth can you explain in terms of chemistry and physics so important a biological phenomenon as first love? Put your hand in a stove for a minute and it seems like an hour. Sit with that special girl for an hour an hour and it seems like a minute. That's relativity."
Have a good day!
Hurtful words are like a loaded gun; once fired, you cannot take it back. Even accidental shootings cause pain; never keep your tongue loaded. GOD bless.
That is a good one. @MOHLovesAlaska
This one, I remember by heart. It says, “Believe You Can, And You’re Halfway There„
– Theodore Roosevelt
Oh, and here’s a quote by, well me.
“It All Starts With A Dream„
– Wesley Fisher
I like those quotes @UNSPXKENWXRLDZ
Thank you for sharing.
No problem, any time! 😁
I see that you are new to the Community, so I wish you a good welcome. @UNSPXKENWXRLDZ
I hope to see you around.
Well, thank you, likewise.
Thanks for sharing @RagnerTheHiker , I love reading quotes!
Actually the Tolkien quote you shared is one of my favorites.
Also about Albert Einstein, the fact that someone can explain something so complex as something so relatable and make it easy to understand is truly a gift.
It also makes me think of people like Carl Sagan and all his work to bring science to people. he's actually the author of another of my favorite quotes: "The Cosmos is within us, we are made of star-stuff. We are a way for the Universe to know itself"
Which, besides poetic, I find it very true and fascinating.
A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step
Here is another quote that I do not remember the author:
"If you do not know where you have been then you will not know where you will be going"
Here is another quote that I do not remember the author:
"If you do not learn about your history then you are bound to repeat it"
If you know the author and/or the correct way they are said please let me know?
Have a fabulous rest of your day!
I like that quote @Dragon19431. That makes a lot of sense for me because I have been working on going farther and farther on hikes.
Good Wednesday morning...
“Life is a race where the prize isn’t speed, but meaning. Cross the line with what matters, and you triumph. Cross with what doesn’t, and the finish becomes an empty place — no cheering crowd, no trophy, no champagne or flowers. Only the echo of your own voice, celebrating nothing gained.”
Have a blessed day. Take care, and GOD bless.
