my screen used to be blue but now it is orange?
mod edit: format + changed title for clarity
I just upgraded to premium. Some of the new background colors are shocking and well, just awful. Is there a way to choose just one? If not, there should be.
@cassirei Unfortunately, there isn't a way to select a permanent background color for the now playing screen.
If you would like to see an option for this added to the service, I recommend upvoting this existing feature request: Ability to change colors on now playing screen
Hope this helps!
In the Win10 desktop app, is there a way to stop the background from changing after every song? It is incredibly distracting, and I would prefer to have a plain dark background regardless of what song is playing.
@crimsonclear157 Nice to see you around the Community. 👋🏽

Why won't you actually answer this question or at least link to the answer?
Hi, @jrox141. 👋
Nice to see you around the community space.
You can find the marked solution for this thread here.
At this time, there is not a way to adjust the now playing screen colors on any of your devices.
We do have an existing feature request that you can upvote here: Ability to Change Colors on Now Playing Screen
Hope this helps clarify. 🎧
I was actually hoping to find a way to change it TO red or orange lol. I mostly use pandora in the evenings/nights and the bright blue is absolutely blinding. If anyone knows of a good Firefox extension or something that can do that hmu!
Only reason I comment here is because this is the only thing that comes up on google when I try to search for the opposite.
Hey there, @TheDarkRedFox. 👋

Sorry for any confusion, @jrox141. Great question!
To clarify, as a Premium subscriber, the background changes with the album art as the songs change during your listening session. This an intentional feature of a feature of Premium. With free and Plus, the background remains the same. At this time, the ability to change the background manually isn't a feature.
The feature request can be found here: Ability to Change Colors on Now Playing Screen
Thanks so much for being a part of the community!
Fixed - I logged off my Desktop Pandora, closed browser (chrome), reopened browser, CLEARED BROWSING HISTORY, Went back to Pandora.com, REJECTED ALL COOKIES, and its back to the blue backround. Worked for me, good luck
Hi @Skatethe80s! Thanks so much for visiting the Pandora Community.
To clarify, only Premium subscribers have the the background changes according to the album art as the songs change during your listening session. This an intentional feature only for Premium. With free and Plus, the background remains the same.
After checking the account linked to your community profile it looks like you are subscribed to Pandora Plus, but it also seems like you enabled a Premium session, which temporarily enables Premium features like on demand listening as well as the background color change.
When the Premium session expires you’ll be returned to your regular Pandora app experience including the static blue background, which seems to be what happened with your account.
To learn more about Premium and these complimentary sessions please visit our Help Page.
I hope this clarifies things a bit.
No, you won't be charged, @Skatethe80s.
You can initiate a complimentary Pandora Premium session which allows you to interact with an ad to access on-demand content at no cost.
If you decide to view the ad and accept a Premium session, there will be no extra charges, and your account will be returned to the Plus service once the Premium session ends.
Hope you're enjoying the tunes! 🎶
