3 Years later and it's happening on a iMac desktop! Nothing to do with Sonus, just plays one song, then goes to an ad, then never returns..

Sorry to hear that playback is stopping on your Mac Desktop App. Since you're having trouble on a computer versus an in-home device, I've created a new post for you in our Desktop Board.
Before reaching out, have you tried any troubleshooting steps? If yes, can you let me know what you tried.
Also, which version are you on? Open the desktop app, select the Pandora tab from the menu bar at the top left corner, and then About Pandora. A notification box should open with the version.

Mac version 15.6.1, Safari version 18.6
After opening your email I went to the Safari link which opens Pandora. (I don't know if you consider that the desktop app.)
Today it has played three song so far with no ad, so I'm not sure whether it will play after an ad. I don't know how to follow these directions since I see no Pandora tab in the menu bar - "Open the desktop app, select the Pandora tab from the menu bar at the top left corner, and then About Pandora." I opened Safari and clicked on the Pandora.com link and don't see any place to discover which version of Pandora I'm playing.
Off I'm not using Pandora most effectively method, how should I go about it?
(Just had an ad and music followed normally, what I expect.)

It looks like you are currently streaming from your web browser. The desktop app Tanner was referring to is an app that you install directly on your computer so you don't have to open your browser to listen.
If you haven't yet, please try the steps for Safari Troubleshooting described here.
You may also want to try our using the Pandora Desktop app instead and try it out. If you'd like you can install the Pandora desktop app for Mac computers here.
Open the downloaded file and follow the prompts to complete the installation.
Keep in mind the Pandora app works the same as our website. All of the features on our website will be available and any changes you make will sync across all of your devices.

Hi - Thanks for your suggestions. I have downloaded the Pandora app and will be able to test it out in the near future. I think my initial issue was a glitch during that time period. I have had it happen occasionally in my car via my phone. Of course when driving I can't restarted Pandora having to look down at my phone would be an issue.
