Android TV: Sound mutes but song timer continues

I have the same problem… I’m listening on my TV and the song is going along fine and then after a few minutes it just goes to mute… I can see the song is still playing in the top… If I press fast-forward to the next song, the music comes back. This is very frustrating.

Hi @Soxfan1918 , welcome to the community!

Sorry to hear you are having trouble when listening in your TV. Can you tell me a bit more about your device?

  • What is the make and model of your TV?
  • Does this happen with every song you play?
  • Is there an error message (if yes, what exactly does it say)?

Yes, it happens with every song I play and it doesn’t happen with Spotify… I have a relatively new Sony smart tv.

Thanks for telling me @Soxfan1918 .

Sorry for any trouble with Pandora on your Sony TV.

Here are some steps to help troubleshoot:

  1. Unplug your TV for 30 seconds and then plug it back in.
  2. Clear app cache for Pandora.
    • Open the Settings menu.
    • Select Apps → See all apps.
    • Select Pandora from the list of apps.
    • Select Clear cache and confirm choice
  3. If issue persists, clear app data using the same menu options above.

Note: The steps to clear app cache and app data may differ depending on your TV model. Please visit Sony Support for additional instructions.

I have the Pandora App pulled up on my tv but there’s no sound. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t. Suggestions?
