Why do I hear ads after upgraded to the Family Plan?

I just upgraded to the family subscription and now have to deal with commercials...what the heck is going on? How can this be stopped?

I checked the Pandora account associated with your community profile and can confirm that it is currently upgraded to Pandora Premium Family.

To take a closer look at why you may still be hearing ads, could you let me know the following information:

• Is this happening with your account or an account associated with your Family Plan?

• What device are you hearing the ads on? Are you listening through the Pandora app, a web browser, or another device such as a smart speaker, TV, or vehicle?

• What type of ads are you hearing? For example, are they commercial breaks between songs, promotional messages from Pandora, or something else?

• Does this happen on every station or playlist you listen to, or only certain ones?

I believe the reason I am hearing ads at this time is because Pandora treated my subscription change from single to family as a new subscription, with 30 days free before the billing cycle starts. Hopefully this is the reason and it stops soon!
