After listening to Pandora and stopping play. The Pandora music tile remains on the sleep screen, which I can't remove in any settings. I frequently and inadvertently hit the play button on the Pandora tile when reopening my iPhone by swiping up. Music comes blaring. Usually something I'm listening to from my watch during a lunch run but certainly not appropriate for a work meeting.
How can i stop this tile from remaining on the sleep screen? It's perfectly positioned to hit every time you swipe up to open your phone.

Hi @KBBB , thanks for posting!
Can you tell me a bit more about this?
- Are you pausing the app and closing it before locking your screen, or are you just pausing the app before locking the screen?
- Can you tell me the make and model of your phone?
- Can you please share me a screenshot of what you are seeing?
Let me know!

Thanks!
Can you please try closing the app (no need to log out, just close it) after you pause the song?
You see, when you just pause it, Pandora stays in the background, but is still active so it may show you the now playing tile as a way to keep it handy and easy to resume your streaming experience.
But if you close it, it shouldn't be active on the background, therefore it shouldn't show the tile. So, can you please try that?
To close the app (without logging out) you would need to swipe up from the button of your screen and stop on the middle of your screen. This should display all the active apps as a preview. To close Pandora, you just need to swipe up Pandora's preview.
Let me know what happens when you do this and if you continue to see the tile on your lock screen.

Closing it works fine in most cases.
Closing it out among all the apps i have open each time i need to turn it off is pretty high maintenance. Apple Music lets you turn off the tile and Spotify doesn't force this feature. It's pretty inconvenient.
Also, when CarPlay is active the tile comes on too and Pandora is NOT open in the background. you literally have to open the app then close it.
I cancelled our previous Pandora family subscription and went to Spotify because i got frustrated with inadvertently fat fingering this and have my music blare at the worst time.
There should be an option to not have the tile appear on the sleep screen. I use Pandora on my Sonos, watch, phone, and car. Stopping to deal with this each time is asking a lot.

The media controls found on the lock screen are an Apple iOS feature that we don't have control over. The media controls will appear when content, either music or video, is streaming on your phone. In most case, your phone should remove the controls once it realizes you aren't listening to any content. However, you can speed this along by closing the app from the background. Since this is a function of Apple's iOS, for feedback we recommend reaching out to their support team.
Circling back to Pandora launching in your vehicle. Could you confirm if the Launch From Car feature is disabled from your Pandora Settings.
- Open Pandora.
- Tap Profile.
- Next select the Settings gear in the upper right corner.
- Tap Advanced.
- Under Bluetooth for devices make sure to uncheck the box next to Launch from car.
